How Urbi collects data

All the data - a road graph, a map and all objects on it – are updated every day. Online data, such as traffic jams, is updated at least once a minute. More than 100 employees and 500,000 users work on the data collection and updating for Urbi.We use self-developed GIS toolsfor these tasks.

The Road Graph

Road graph

We collect a solid set of properties: from significance (from federal intra-quarter) and speed limits to wideness and heights limitations, road surface material. Our road graph is adopted for heavy vehicle truck routing.

Public transport graph

We collect information about all public transport infrastructure: graph of public routes, names and timetables.

Pedestrian graph

For pedestrian routes we collect information about the crossing roads, fences, gate and etc.

Data connectivity

With our own data collection and processing, we can be sure that each physical location will be linked to a specific address, and this address will be accurate and existing, it will be mapped. This allows us to offer extreme depth of data.

For the largest buildings, like all major shopping centers, the detail is even higher — floor-by-floor indoor schemes are collected
